Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Work Location: Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington

Division/Department: North of England Region

Reports to: Soft Services Manager

Hours: Full-Time 35hrs per week (working 5 days out of 7) Shift 3 pm to 11 pm.


Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cleaner to join the site team at Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of cleaning tasks, safely and professionally to a very high standard in a busy Shopping Centre environment. You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, be able to communicate on all levels and provide flexibility to support the needs of the business when required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Cleaning of designated areas, ensuring the agreed cleaning specification is completed, as per the site instructions. The property is a large Shopping Centre, therefore, you will be expected to carry out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, litter picking and cleaning washrooms.

· Emptying bins, ensuring recycled waste is disposed of correctly.

· Attending to spillages by making sure they are cleaned within an efficient timeframe, to prevent accidents and ensure site, customer and staff safety.

· Following H&S and COSHH regulations.

· Proactive interaction with on-site clients and customers, offering superb customer service.

· Use of site-specific equipment, machinery and handling chemicals.

· Carrying out any other reasonable management requests.


Person Specification:

· Cleaning industry experience preferred

· Knowledge of COSHH regulations

· Great work ethic

· Customer focused

· Effective communicator
